Making a small site feel finished

A personal website does not need a dozen pages to feel complete. It needs a clear first sentence, a useful way to explore the work, and enough evidence that the person behind it notices details.

The most important work usually happens before the first component is written: deciding what should be visible immediately, what can wait until a visitor is curious, and which links are real enough to deserve a place in the navigation.

I like to keep the structure simple. A strong introduction, a small selection of projects, a place for notes, and a direct way to start a conversation are enough to make a site useful. Everything else should earn its space.
